Tycoons Follies
Tycoons Follies are a Manchester based band formed by Steve Trafford (The Fall’s bass player) in early 2005. Their sound is a mix of punk, folk and psychedelia with fantastic catchy pop melodies and trumpet hooks that recall The La’s, a more acoustic Stranglers and the Teardrop Explodes.
Their first EP was recorded in Manchester and mixed in Liverpool and we love it. It contains three tracks that reveal Steve’s songwriting talents and the tightest band this side of the Mersey river.
